Three spots still open for the ATP World Tour Finals

Three spots remain for next week’s World Tour Finals with Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer, Juan Martin del Potro and Tomas Berdych already qualified; it will come down to Roger Federer, Stanislas Wawrinka, Richard Gasquet, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Milos Raonic.

Federer missed a chance to clinch his berth when he lost to Del Potro in the Swiss Indoors final Sunday.

The Swiss requires a round two win over Kevin Anderson or Mikhail Youzhny at the Paris Master, in the climax to the regular season, to book his place in next week's event in the English capital while fellow-countryman Stanislas Wawrinka is also closing in on qualification.

Meanwhile, Canadian Milos Raonic, German Tommy Haas and Spanish Nicolas Almagro also fighting hard for the last berth in the 2013 ATP World Tour Finals. Raonic should play best tennis of his career and must reach the Paris Masters final to have a chance, while Haas and Almagro must win the BNP Paribas Open title.

Rafael Nadal withdrew from the Swiss Indoors last week, citing fatigue, and he’ll be playing the Paris Indoors for the first time since 2009.
